PROTECT-CHILD Plenary in Thessaloniki, Greece

On 12–13 February 2026, the PROTECT-CHILD consortium gathered in Thessaloniki, Greece for our fourth project plenary meeting hosted by CERTH. The plenary included two days of collaboration, insight, and progress for the project!

The meeting featured:

🗓️ Preparations for the PROTECT-CHILD upcoming review and updates by all Work Package leads and partner representatives on progress of work.

⚙️ A technical session discussing consolidated architecture, available infrastructure and testing, genomic services, FHIR IG and OMOP mapping, as well as federated algorithms planning.

🩺 A clinical session focused on consolidating data collection and reviewing User Stories.

This event was a valuable opportunity to align on project progress and strengthen collaboration in PROTECT-CHILD’s aim to improve outcomes and quality of life for children requiring life-saving transplants.
